The Committee in charge of the band is small and informal as the principal aim at the moment is to create and develop the band. Because it in in it's infancy the band is small but is made up of very enthusiastic and versatile players.
What drives us We want to create a good sound and a develop a band that the town and the players can be proud of.
People Colin Reeves is helping the band in rehearsals and is the principal Musical Director. Colin a very good musician having studied at the Birmingham Conservatoir and is an Associate of the Royal College of Organists. Amanda Pope who helped set things going is the Treasurer. Mrs Clarke is the Secretary, the role is small at the moment as the band is in the development stage.
The Band At the moment the band consists of a flute, Cornets, Trumpets, Euphonium, Trombone, Alto Sax, Baritone Horn and BBb Tuba. More players are needed to increase the sound and also give an opportunity to play a wider range of pieces which the band want to try out. We need flutes, clarinets, a tenor sax, another trombone and other wind and brass players. We are made up of adult and junior players, as long as you can play to a grade 2 standard you are welcome to come along to rehearsals.

Rehearsals are open to all ages, players must be a least of a grade 2 standard.
It is free to participate as there are no subs for members, and costs are kept to a minimum. Donations are welcome. We have had a number of donations from organisations such as Ludlow Town Council, Ludlow Food Hall, Liberal Democrats and the Town Centre Residents Association.
As well as regular rehearsals, workshops have also been arranged such as the Beginners Clarinet Workshop, which has been kindly supported by the Ludlow Branch of The Royal British Legion.
